CALL FOR ABSTRACTS
DEADLINE FOR SUBMISSION : 15th of August, 2007
For its bi-annual meeting held in Moscow on 28 January - 1 February, 2008, the WEVA Scientific Committee is looking for
abstracts proposals with various types of communications : state-ofthe-art subjects, research topics, "how-to-do" - or infectious diseases and epidemiology topics - presented either as oral communications or posters.
Submission of abstracts should be done in electronic form or eventually sent on a disk (Word format) completed with a signed and dated paper Application Form.
• Title, authors and institution must be indicated at the top of the abstract. Also, complete addresses must clearly appear as heading. The title should be in capitals. Author's first name before the
last name (last name in capitals). Underline the name of the author who will present the paper if selected.
• Abstracts should be written in English and should be no more than 1000 words. Use 1.5 lines spacing and a 11 point form and dot not intend paragraphs. One simple table or one graph or one figure may be included.
• The structure of the abstract is flexible but should contain information on the aim of the work, methods, results, discussion and conclusion.
• Abstracts will rejected automatically without scrutiny if they :
• Arrive after the closing date
• Exceed 1000 words
• Contain vague or incomplete data
• Have already been published before 15th August, 2007
The author can indicate his or her preference for oral or poster presentation, but the final decision will be taken by the Congress Scientific Committee. Authors will be informed of
acceptance within two months following the deadline for submission. Instructions relative to oral or poster presentations will be notified then.
